Part of the joy of a children's book is the illustrations. Finding the right illustrator is important to the success of any children's book.
In most cases, a book publisher will ask to see a manuscript without art because the publisher prefers to choose the illustrator. Some publishers, however, are open to allowing authors to illustrate their own books or to suggest illustrators.

Book cover
This image was used as a cover for pocket book that I did last two months ago.The client was from the Middle East and the the theme of his book is war.
The book is about the civil war in Lebanon in the 1980's. It centers around one family and their struggle to survive in the midst of war, and particularly centers on the daughter of the family who is a young teenager.
The main thing is a picture of a teenage Lebanese girl against a background of war.
Here is the pencil sketches before coloring to digital using Adobe Photoshop (PS) Software.
And finally the finished product and the actual size of the page cover below.
Another project from the same client, Edward Cook and actually this is the first project he gave me to illustrate entitled "The Victor" with the same style and should be colored to PS.
A pencil sketch first before coloring it to digital. He was impress with this sketches
